Dr Indi Wijegoonewardene

Born into a family of doctors in Sri Lanka, Dr. Indi Wijegoonewardene proudly represents the third generation in his family to pursue medicine. His medical journey began at the prestigious Manipal University, after which he completed his internship and honed his surgical skills in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Sri Lanka Military Hospital. In 2009, Dr. Wijegoonewardene relocated to Perth, where he trained with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, gaining experience in General Surgery and Paediatric Surgery and Urology. His career took him to some of Western Australia’s most remote and beautiful regions, where he practised as a Rural Generalist. This role allowed him to utilize his diverse surgical and emergency medicine skills, providing comprehensive care to rural communities. Now based in Perth, and with a young family, Dr. Wijegoonewardene has transitioned into General Practice, focusing on Men’s Health, Skin Cancer, Aesthetics and Vasectomies.
