MyMedicare Registration
MyMedicare lets you register with your usual GP and practice. It supports continuity of care and may give access to eligible rebates for certain services. You can register online through myGov or ask our reception team to help in clinic. Registration is voluntary and you can change or withdraw at any time.
MyMedicare is a government program that formalises your relationship with your regular GP and practice. It helps your care team plan, follow up, and coordinate care over time. It is free to join and your practice must be registered before you can register as a patient.
- Greater continuity with your chosen practice and GP.
- Access to longer Medicare-funded telehealth consults with your GP where clinically appropriate.
- Extra support for people in residential aged care homes through regular GP visits and better care planning.
You can register if you have a Medicare Card or DVA Veteran Card and recent face-to-face visits with the same practice in the past 24 months. People in hardship, and residents of aged care homes, have specific exemptions. Only one practice can be registered at a time.
